About this site

Who answers when I call?

A call center routes you to an independent restoration contractor that serves your ZIP. It is not this site's staff.

Does it cost anything to call?

This site does not charge callers. The contractor you reach sets its own terms for any work.

Which ZIP codes are covered?

San Marcos 92069 and 92078, plus nearby ZIPs in Vista, Escondido and Carlsbad listed on the service areas page.

Can I choose the contractor?

You can decline whoever answers. You are never obliged to hire anyone.

About the damage

How long does drying take?

It depends on materials and how wet they got. Technicians log readings each visit and stop when they match an unaffected area.

Can I dry it myself with fans?

For a small spill on a hard floor, a fan may be enough. Water inside walls or under flooring usually needs meters and a dehumidifier to find and finish.

Should I wait for the insurer first?

Report the loss early, but do not let wet materials sit. The state advises reasonable temporary protection and keeping receipts.

Is mold certain after a leak?

No. Mold needs moisture to grow, so quick drying lowers the chance.

About hiring

How do I check a license?

Search the number on the CSLB website. See the hiring guide for the full list of checks.

Is a license needed for small jobs?

The state sets a small-job limit, with exceptions for permitted work or hired help. Water damage jobs usually go well past it.

What if I have a complaint?

CSLB takes construction complaints. Insurance complaints go to the California Department of Insurance.

Water is still moving, or the room is already wet?

Call the number and describe what happened. You are connected with an independent restoration contractor who serves your ZIP. Calling early helps, because wet drywall and flooring get harder to save each day.
